The sports bettor that won $1.2 million on Tiger Woods to win the Masters in April was back in Vegas to re-invest in Woods, this time to win $10 million. Wisconsin gambler James Adducci bet $89 thousand dollars on Tiger Woods at 14-1 to win the Masters in April. Woods won and Adducci pocketed a cool $1,275,000, the record payout on a golf but by industry giant William Hill and possibly the richest golf payout ever.
Adducci’s Grand Slam bet would mean that Tiger Woods would need to win the remaining three Grand Slam events (next week’s PGA, the British Open, and US Open) of the 2019 calendar for Adducci to take home more than $10 million bucks. Woods odds to win the Grand Slam after his win in the Masters was 150-1. A deluge of small bets on the ever-popular Tiger dropped the the number to 50-60/1 around Las Vegas. The 100-1 odds given to Adducci were negotiated by William Hill before hand.
