The Milwaukee Bucks added a key piece at the trade deadline by acquiring matchup nightmare Nikola Mirotic from the Pelicans Although technically a three-team deal that involves the Pistons and players Jason Smith and Stanley Johnson, the deal basically sends four second-round draft picks to the Pelicans. The 6’10 250 pounder from Montenegro is averaging career highs of 16.8 ppg. and 8.3 rpg. Mirotic is an excellent perimeter shooter who averages 2.73 threes per game, good for 9th overall in the NBA. The Bucks average 13.3 treys per game, second only to the Houston Rockets 15.4 so Mirotic, an unrestricted free agent after this year, is a nice fit.
