The Houston Rockets have agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony and cash to the Bulls for a heavily protected second round draft. In essence, this is a roster juggling move. Anthony will not play for Chicago but occupy a currently unused spot on the Bulls roster. Chicago will have until the February 7th trade deadline to either trade Anthony’s expiring contract or release him to become an unrestricted free agent. The move also frees a roster spot for the Rockets who added power forward Kenneth Faried whose contract was just bought out by the Brooklyn Nets.
