A PBR bull rider died Tuesday night from injuries sustained at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado. Mason Lowe, 25 from Exeter, Missouri, died of massive chest injuries after being stomped on by the bull Hard Times during the Tuesday night show. Lowe was wearing all his mandated PBR safety equipment including a protective vest.
Lowe had been a professional bull rider for seven years, joining the PBR touring division in 2012 as an 18-year-old. He was successful on his first professional ride scoring an 87 on the bull Super Cool Kat at Tulsa on August 10, 2012. Lowe was currently ranked No.18 in the world and has already made more than $10,000 in the first two weeks of 2019. A tribute was planned for Wednesday.
