Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray has declared for the NFL draft. In essence, this is only a procedural move for Murray to leave all his options open. Murray is expected to be a first round NFL draft pick and possibly the first overall in the draft to Arizona. Murray was also the a first round draft pick in baseball being taken 11th overall in this year’s draft by the Oakland A’s. Murray has already received a large portion of a $4.5 million signing bonus and would have to return all but about $200,000 should he decide to play football. Murray will make his decision in February when he will either report to spring training or attend the NFL combine 11 days later.
