Former five-star quarterback and current Georgia Bulldog backup QB Justin Fields will be transferring to Ohio State. Fields has enrolled for the spring semester in Columbus which will allow his to participate in spring practice and off season conditioning programs with the Buckeyes.
Fields was considered the No.2 prospect in last year’s recruiting class behind current Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence but could not beat out Bulldog starting QB Jake Fromm. Fields did appear in 12 games for Georgia going 27-39 for 324 and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Field also ran for 266 yards and four touchdowns on 42 attempts.
Fields was also thought to be on the radar of Oklahoma, Florida State, and UCLA but Field trains with the same quarterback guru as current Buckeye QB Dwayne Haskins which may have given Ohio State the inside track.
