Denver Bronco RB Phillip Lindsay sustained a serious wrist injury when he was tackled near the goal line in the Broncos 27-14 loss to the Raiders on Monday night. Lindsay is believed to have sustained a scaphoid bone fracture along with ligament damage which will likely require surgery and a lengthy healing time.
Lindsay was one of the feel good stories of 2018 after making the team and eventually starting as an undrafted free agent. Lindsay grew up in nearby Aurora, Colorado and attended Colorado University. Lindsay did not draw much NFL attention because of his small stature (5’8″) but with his hard nosed running style quickly became the Broncos most dangerous weapon rushing for 1037 yards on 192 carries (5.4 ypc.) and nine touchdowns. He also made 35 catches for an additional 241 yards and another score.
